Qualifications: Requires a BS plus 5 years relevant work experience within an ERP/MRP environment including at least 1-3 years experience of operating as a Production Planner in a supply chain role, ideally in a FMCG/production environment. APICS exposure and CPIM certification a strong preference.
Must be a competent user of computerized IT Systems Word, Powerpoint, Excel and other associated scheduling, forecasting software packages.

Duties: COTY US in Sanford, NC (located 40 miles south of Raleigh), the worlds largest manufacturer and distributor of fine fragrances and cosmetics has the following job opportunity available immediately: We are currently searching for a Planner. Will build, manage and ensure the timely execution of an achievable, efficient production schedule for a specific brand or production resource in support of Coty business objectives. This position will be a critical member of the line teams for the assigned resources. Each planner will be the interface between the NPD group, Logistics, Forecasting, and the Manufacturing Plant with regards to production schedules, inventory levels / excess inventory / VAR, capacity and parts deliveries while adhering to all the Operations Vision, Mission, Priorities Values and Principles. Translate forecasts into manufacturing production schedules using defined planning parameters which support the Companys business objectives. Work with the Manufacturing area to build an achievable production schedule by day and week and track adherence to that schedule. Create and maintain an inventory policy for each item in keeping with agreed distribution strategy. Track and manage inventory levels of components, WIP and raw materials to ensure they stay within planned levels. Monitor Stock Value at Risk and items outside the inventory window. Maintain ABC parameters for each item, updating safety and cycle stocks as appropriate and agreed with manager. Highlight BOM errors when encountered. Calculate, minimize and maintain batch sizes in keeping with agreed planning parameters. Work with Purchasing / suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components to support the production schedule, expediting / de-expediting as appropriate. Work with QA to ensure timely release of components and finished goods, coordinating and scheduling reworks as necessary. Consistently challenge component and production lead times to reduce both to the lowest possible level in keeping with agreed distribution strategies. Review and manage long and short term equipment capacities for assigned resources using GPR information to ensure that capacities are updated and accurate and that run sizes are minimal and appropriate. Manage and ensure that the bulk manufacturing schedule is tied directly to the filling schedule to ensure minimal waste or storage of unneeded bulk
