CLTD Certification (COMING SOON IN 2017)

The Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) certification covers a comprehensive body of knowledge that sets the global standard for best practices in logistics, transportation and distribution.

As a CLTD designee, you will stand out from your peers, and demonstrate a commitment to advancing both your career and your company’s operations.

The CLTD designation will help you:

The CLTD program consists of eight modules with an exam that reflects critical areas in logistics, transportation and distribution for the roles and responsibilities of logistics managers. The exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (130 operational and 20 pretest). Candidates will have 3.5 hours to complete the exam. To earn the CLTD certification, you must master each of the following:

  • Logistics and Supply Chain Overview

  • Capacity Planning and Demand Management

  • Order Management

  • Inventory and Warehouse Management

  • Transportation

  • Global Logistics Considerations

  • Logistics Network Design

  • Reverse Logistics and Sustainability

Prior to taking the exam, you must be eligible. Eligibility applications must be received two weeks prior to the day you register for the exams.

To be eligible for the APICS CLTD designation, you must have:

  • 3 years of related business experience or

  • Bachelor’s degree or the international equivalent*, or

  • CPIM, CSCP, CTL, CFPIM, CIRM, SCOR-P, C.P.M., CSM or CPSM designations

To help our chapter manage the variable demand for classes and our constrained instructor schedules we are now utilizing a interest list process. To be placed on the interest list please follow the instructions below:

The CLTD Class Interest List Process: 

1) Click on the Details & Registration button below 

2) Click on the Register Now button

3) Select the CLTD module

4) Select a preferred schedule: weeknight courses, weekend courses, or no preference

5) When enough students have registered, students will be contacted to finalize a start date and time

6) Students will need to return to APICS Triangle Website to register in Class Offering section and pay for the course
